Unlike unreliable “dimmer switch” controllers with non-linear outputs, the Blichmann Power Controller makes maintaining the perfect boil intensity and heating rate easier and comes in 120V or 240V models. Our tried-and-true Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) method controls the percentage of time heaters are energized over short one-second intervals, making the boiling process gentler on your heater, and eliminating electrical noise.

Precise linear control of power from 0-100% with a fast-acting power knob. Drive up to five heating elements simultaneously with a single Power Controller, using the optional Relay Modules.  Please note this is only available for the 240V model. Industrial-grade PWM control methodology is reliable, gentle on equipment, and very linear. Ideal for boil kettle and BIAB applications where temperature control is not needed but precise power control is. Dials in an exact and repeatable boil-off rate to hit the final boil volume for every batch. Perfect match for the Blichmann BoilCoil™ electric heater,  BoilerMaker Surface™, and other manufacturers’ immersion heaters. The integral DIN rail groove in the back allows the connection of multiple controllers and relay modules for table or wall mounting. Unique enclosure route cables out of the back for table mounting or out of the bottom for wall mounting. An integral heat sink keeps the industrial-grade, UL-listed solid-state relay (SSR) cool, extending the controller’s life. Power Connections:  L6-30 (30A 240V) and L5-20 (20A 120V) Optional 120V and 240V extension cables and plug adapters are available.
