2005: There really wasn’t a dedicated brew kettle in the industry. Repurposed commercial kettles and kegs were very common on the market. Since there really wasn’t a dedicated brew kettle in the homebrewing industry, Blichmann Engineering began to solve this problem through research and development to craft a solution.

2006: The BoilerMaker™ G1 kettle is born! Our solution, the first purpose-built homebrewing kettle, debuts with:

2012: The BoilerMaker™ G2 was born! We redesigned the BoilerMaker™ and on-shored the 7.5,10,15, and 20 gallon sized kettles to a US supplier. Upgrades included:

• 1. Single piece deep drawn kettle – 50% harder than rolled and welded kettles to resist dings and dents from normal use

• 2. Brushed finish to hide water stains, making it a timeless showpiece with a lasting, ”brand-new” look.

• 3. Added a lifetime warranty.

• 4. Added cool touch handles for comfort and safety. Lid handle allows storage on the kettle, shelf or just about anywhere.

• 5. G2 linear flow valve: The patented super easy to clean, linear smooth flow control hosts 90-degree configuration, eliminating fittings and kinked hoses.

• 6. Open top lip designed to prevent water from dripping down and staining the kettle.
