Ordering instructions for Fermenator Conicals:

All Fermenator conicals come with the lid seal and standard length legs.  Only order a lid seal if you want an EXTRA seal.

All Fermenator conicals are pressurizeable to 3psi for CO2 pumping.  The 7 gal model is small enough in diameter that a domed lid was not needed - it IS pressurizeable too!

Also included with standard fitting Fermenator conicals are nylon hose barbs for the racking and bottom dump ports, a length of dump hose, airlock, stopper, and a 90 deg elbow for pressurizing the unit.  Tri-clamp fitting models include stainless barbs in lieu of nylon.  The optional blow-off kit includes a 1/2" stainless barb for CO2 pressurization.

Leg extensions and casters are in kit format and ship inside the Fermenator box at no additional shipping cost in most cases.

F3 Tri-clamp Model Ordering instructions:

The FermenatorTM is offered with two types of fittings - our standard weldless 1/2" NPT fittings, and also a weldless Tri-clamp fitting model.  While both offer the same operational features and ease of use, the Tri-clamp fittings offer a sleek professional look.  This design includes a 1” bottom dump assembly complete with elbow, ball valve, barb fitting, cover plate, and all clamps and gaskets.  The racking arm is a ½” tri-clamp design, and also includes the barb fitting, cover and all clamps and gaskets.

Since a larger size racking hole and bottom dump hole is needed for the Tri-clamp model, the fermentor must be ordered with the desired fitting type up-front.  The fitting type CAN NOT be changed or retrofitted by the user.  Also for this reason, the Tri-clamp fittings are not compatible with earlier units.

An OPTIONAL blow-off assembly is available and will fit ALL FermenatorTM conicals ever built.  It includes an elbow, 1” barbed fitting, and a ½” barbed fitting for CO2 pressurization of the unit for pumping the finished beer.

F42 Ordering instructions:

The 42 gal model is modular in design and is configured in 3 ways:

 (1) If your customer already owns a 27 gal F3 conical, only the 42 gal extension is needed.  The extension is not compatible with F2 or F1 models.  The model and serial number are engraved on the read of the tank under the lip.  Please contact us if you have any questions.  Certain earlier F3 models will require the purchaser to drill two 1/4" holes in a leg of the fermentor.  Drills are not included in the kit.  The kit includes the extension, additional leg braces, blow-off hose assembly, hose clips and associated hardware.

(2) If your customer wants to brew in 20 gal batches and ALSO 31 gal batches, order the 27 gal conical AND a 42 gal extension.

(3) If your customer wants to ONLY brew 31 gal batches, order the complete 42 gal conical.  The complete 42 gal conical does NOT include the lid for the 27 gal conical.

NOTE: the Fermenator 42 gal extension is NOT to be sold as an upgrade for competitive units.  The extension does not include a lid seal, lid clamp, lid hatch, or pressure relief valve.  Selling an extension for a competitive unit is dangerous and strictly prohibited.  Replacement lid clamps are available, but the defective lid clamp must be returned to Blichmann Engineering for failure analysis prior to a replacement being sent.  If it is found to be defective at any time a free replacement will be sent, however, after the warranty period shipping costs will not be included.
